On Friday, April 22, 26-year-old Remy Hany Mounir Fahim was charged with the murder of his coworker, Griffin Robert Cuomo, and his roommate, Jonathan Bahm, in an Anaheim apartment.

Fahim is being charged with two counts of murder, two enhancements of lying in wait, and the personal use of a murder weapon.

Police were called to an apartment complex near the Angels Stadium at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday where they found Fahim, who was slightly injured, and the two bodies.

Fahim was transported to a hospital for treatment and then immediately taken into custody as a suspect after being questioned by detectives.

The motive behind the killings is unknown, but it was released that Fahim and Cuomo were coworkers at a financial firm in Newport Beach.

“It is a little surprising that something like this would happen there, but it’s not like this was a random act of violence,” said Sergeant Shane Carringer of the Anaheim Police Department.

Meanwhile, the two victims were revealed to be alumni of Chapman University, having recently graduated.

"These young men were just starting to live out their dreams and find their places in the world, but an intruder who stalked them and then slashed them to death in their own home interrupted those dreams," said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer. "The callous way that two young lives were ended cannot be ignored and we will do everything we can to ensure justice is served.”

Fahim is currently being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on May 6.
