Four Seasons Hotel? No, Four Seasons Total Landscaping
On November 7, 2020, Trump tweeted out, “Lawyers Press Conference at Four Seasons, Philadelphia. 11:00 A.M.” Many people expected the conference to be at Four Seasons Hotel, but it wasn’t the Four Seasons they were expecting.
Eight minutes later, Trump tweeted, “Four Season’s Landscaping,” and two minutes after that he tweeted, “Big press conference today in Philidelphia at Four Seasons Total Landscaping --- 11:30 am!” The public was confused as to which Four Seasons it was, so for more clarification, Four Seasons Hotel tweeted, “To clarify, President Trump’s press conference will NOT be held at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. It will be held at Four Seasons Total Landscaping—no relation with the hotel.” It turns out that Trump’s team held the conference at Four Seasons Total Landscaping, which is located between a crematorium and an adult bookstore.
This incident was the result of a misinterpreted phone call between Trump and Corey Lewandowski, his campaign advisor. Trump assumed that Four Seasons was going to be at the luxurious hotel like most people when they first saw his tweet. Since the public became aware of the mix-up, they had been satirizing Trump and his team all throughout social media. Numerous celebrities took to Twitter posting about the situation and poking fun at Trump.
Ian Bremmer said, “I hadn’t seen Four Seasons Total Landscaping before. Upside: There’s a fire extinguisher,” and Patton Oswalt also tweeted, “This is not over. For we shall mount our righteous stand at Four Seasons Total Landscaping. Next to Fantasy Island Adult Books. Across the street from the Delaware Valley Cremation Center. Between the fire extinguisher and yellow hose. #MAGA.” Trump was ridiculed by the internet; however, an honorable mention was his defeat to Joe Biden in the presidential election.
