Ye Returns to Twitter Following Instagram Restriction
After his Instagram account was restricted on Friday, October 7, Ye West (formerly known as Kanye West) tweeted a picture of a cap with the message, “2024,” and a caption with the same number. This is West’s first tweet since November 4, 2020, when he declared that he would run for U.S. president again in 2024.
Two hours after the initial tweet, West posted another picture, this time featuring himself and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerburg. “Look at this Mark [...] How you gone kick me off instagram [...] You used to be my n****,” stated the caption.
A Meta spokesperson said that West’s account was restricted and some of his posts were removed due to repeated violations of Instagram’s rules, though the rules he had broken were not specified.
West’s Instagram account is still available to view for now, along with many of the controversial posts he has made in the past week.
