A 3-year-old boy died on June 10, 2021, after falling out the window of his house and being attacked by the family's two pit bulls.  

The incident happened in Elizabeth, New Jersey, at around 5:30 p.m. 

Although the boy did not sustain many injuries from the fall, he was viciously attacked by the two pit bulls and was pronounced dead shortly after at the Trinitas Regional Medical Center.

"I saw the mother, she was full of blood in her hands, her shirt,” neighbor Maria Rocha told WABC. “And I was like, ‘what happened?’ so I came here because it was full of police and she told me ‘my baby, my baby, I went to the bathroom and my baby fell out the window.’”

The local authorities have launched an official investigation into the circumstances of the accident and nothing has yet been announced. 

Meanwhile, the family's pit bulls were removed from the house by animal control and sent to another location. 

“The dogs are currently quarantined, and the city is looking to have them euthanized. We have to wait until the investigation is complete," said a spokesperson for the City of Elizabeth.
