Two Sex Workers Tied to Missing Man Found on Highway

One of two accused prostitutes, Tiffany Ann Guidry, was indicted and arrested on the charges of unlawful disposal of human remains and failure to seek assistance in connection to a missing man found dead alongside a highway.

On February 23, Nathan Millard vanished while on a business trip from Baton Rouge to Covington, Georgia. His trip consisted of him attending a Louisiana State University basketball game and going to Happy's Irish Pub, according to police and Texas EquuSearch.

Afterward, Millard was supposed to go back to his hotel room at about 11:30 PM, but he did not arrive; instead, security footage showed him in the area of a Greyhound station, where a security guard there offered to call a cab or contact the police because he looked off.

Millard was later found dead in a rolled-up rug and plastic wrap more than a week after he vanished.

Investigators concluded that Millard had been engaging in drugs at a house where he died of an overdose. A known drug dealer, Derrick Perkins, told detectives that Millard was sitting in the living room with the prostitutes while he was at the store and it seemed he was alright.

In the morning, Perkins left to get the drugs for them, but when he came back, Tabbetha Barner ran out of the house to tell him that Millard was dead and that he wouldn’t wake up. Perkins said he tried to perform CPR, but Millard just couldn’t be revived.

Police said the prostitutes told Perkins he had to “get rid of the body” and any evidence. Perkins said he was afraid to call 911 and panicked, so he and Guidry put Millard’s dead body into the back of his truck wrapped in plastic and a rug.

“Perkins wanted to be as humane as possible with disposing of the body at the funeral home [which was later moved to a highway] and felt bad about Millard’s death, but he was unaware of exactly what the Defendant potentially gave Millard to cause him to overdose,” according to an affidavit.

Police said Barner is still wanted in the investigation. She is wanted on charges of prostitution and failure to seek assistance, as she is suspected of having run away from the scene.

Millard is now presumed dead due to overdose, leaving behind his wife Amber Millard, two teen boys, two teen stepsons, and his seven-year-old daughter.
